JAMMU & KASHMIR Encounter breaks out in Reban Shopian | KNO Published 255 weeks ago on June 07, 2020 By Jahangeer Ganaie Shopian, June 07 (KNO): A gunfight broke out between militants and the security forces in Reban village in Zainapora belt of south Kashmir's Shopian district on Sunday morning. An official told News agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a joint team of Police, Army’s Ist RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation on specific information about the presence of militants in the area. He said tha as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them which was retaliated triggering an encounter. A senior police officer also confirmed the exchange of fire between forces and militants.
